6-1-20   THOUGHTS

I’ve been working on the song Just As I Am-I Come Broken.  Do you get a song in your mind and it runs off and on continually for days?  So my thoughts this morning, are truly what’s been playing in the back of my mind..  The words are so powerful!

Just as I am without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid me come to Thee, O Lamb of God I come; I come.
Just as I am and waiting not, to rid my SOUL of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, Oh Lamb of God, I come;   I come.
I come broken to be mended I come wounded to be healed,
I come des-p’rate to be rescued, I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned by the BLOOD OF CHRIST THE LAMB...
And I’m welcomed, with open arms PRAISE GOD, JUST AS I AM!

My life and my eternity are bound up in the words above.

Eph 1:3-7   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5  He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6  to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
Luke 15:17-20    "But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! 18  ‘I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; 19  I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men."’ 20  "So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.
There I am... singing that song again...

My Prayer:
Thank you, Thank you  Oh God for saving us while we were without strength.  It is only from your goodness and grace and love that we are anything.  May we see how great your love is continually.  That you have called us who are nothing into an alive existence with Yourself, through Jesus, is mind-boggling.  May we see your great love Oh Father in the price of the exchange...  THE BLOOD OF YOUR SON!  Each breath we take dear God, help us to come to THEE.
In the name of the one who bought us, Jesus          Amen
